Details:
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
areas, Northern Middlesex, Northern New London, Southern Fairfield,
Southern Middlesex, Southern New Haven and Southern New London and
southeast New York, including the following areas, Northeast
Suffolk, Northern Nassau, Northwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk,
Southern Nassau and Southwest Suffolk.

* WHEN...From late tonight through early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding in poor drainage
areas, rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers with heavy downpours and a few thunderstorms may lead to
flash flooding late tonight into early Sunday afternoon. Average
rainfall amounts are forecast to range from 1 to 2 inches with
locally higher amounts 3 to 5 inches possible. Peak hourly rates
could reach 2 to 2.5 inches.
